Through its ‘Public Resources’ webpage, the Hunter Bird Observers Club aims to provide support for members of the community who are interested in birdwatching as a leisure activity.
The drop-down menu of this page includes tabs that link to downloadable birding guides, which provide self-guided tours, a checklist of bird species and a map of the Hunter Region. If you would like to access information about recent bird sightings and other bird-related events and news, join the Hunterbirding google group via the ‘Hunterbirding’ tab.
This webpage also provides information on how to purchase HBOC merchandise such as t-shirts and mugs, via the ‘Cub Shop’ tab.
In addition, via the ‘Resources for Schools’ tab, HBOC aims to provide free educational resources that are linked to the NSW school curriculum. Development of these resources was initiated late in 2021.
