HBOC Member’s Milestones
Birdwatching is a great activity at any time. To inject even more fun, HBOC offers two “clubs” which help people to celebrate their bird-related milestones achieved within the Hunter Region. It’s not necessary to be a member of HBOC to “join” either of these clubs; you just need to follow the instructions on the relevant page.
Our “300 Club” is for people who have seen 300 or more species within the Hunter Region. There is a badge available for anyone who has managed to do this (and who tells us about it). There are also badges for 350 species sighted, 400 species sighted, and 425 species sighted.
Our “Hunter bird photos club” is for people who have photographed 200 or more species within the Hunter Region. There is a badge available for anyone who has managed to do this (and who tells us about it). Note this is not about having taken photos elsewhere in Australia of a species found in the Hunter Region, it’s about photos which were taken locally. There are also milestone badges in 50-species increments (250 species, 300 species)
